We are looking for a dedicated professional with integrity as Head of Human Resources CH/AT (100%). This job contributes to the CH/AT’s success by serving as a leader and influencer within the CHAT Market, sitting on the CHAT Leadership Team. The role is accountable for driving the partner resources strategy and high-value HR processes to ensure alignment with the overall business strategy. This leader works in collaboration with the GM – CHAT, Director – PRO UK and the broader Leadership Team to develop and deliver a people strategy that drives business performance, focuses on the customer and positions Starbucks as the Employer of Choice in its industry.

Head of Human Resources CH/AT (m/f/d)

In this role your main areas of responsibility are

  • To develop HR strategies and initiatives, by leading continuous improvement and recommending best-fit solutions for the Swiss and Austrian market.
  • To develop the annual Strategic Plan, Annual Operating Plan and budget, and quarterly forecast updates.
  • To plan, develop and execute HR related programs to support productivity, organizational growth and development of partners.
  • To develop and oversee the compensation and benefits strategies and policy (bonus program, salary structure, merit increase, etc.).
  • To manage succession and key talent planning by achieving the defined company strategy and meeting key business needs and to lead recruitment and manpower planning for the Headquarter in Switzerland and Austria as well as the overall retail recruitment activities.
  • To define and analyses key HR metrics, identifies trends then support the creation and implementation of action plans to improve business performance and drive partner engagement.
  • To manage and inspire the HR team by ensuring annual objectives set for all team members in accordance with regional priorities and to act and lead as an expert coach that can challenge and influence at all levels from directors to store managers.
  •  To ensure compliance in all aspects, and minimize risk to the employees, customers, and business by keeping abreast all relevant/new employment laws and regulations.


Your profile

  • Demonstrated experience working in a medium sized, faced-paced, multi-site business, commercially astute, supporting a business unit/region/division, and as part of a broader HR team member.
  • Proven track record of effective consultation with Director level colleagues to drive organizational capability.
  • Has demonstrated effective project management of HR initiatives – from concept through to implementation.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer focus, with a pro-active, mature, positive, action-orientated, and ‘can-do’ attitude is essential.
  • Strong coaching, conflict resolution, and team building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English. French considered as an additional asset.
  • Proactive self-starter and able to deal with ambiguity and see a clear path through it.
