General Manager Germany (m/f/d)
The position of the General Manager Germany has to be replaced as the current incumbent will leave the company after fourteen years. The GM Germany will be fully in charge of the German entity with currently 55 employees and will report directly into the VP Northern Europe.

Our client has significantly grown over the past years, both organically as well as inorganically. It will be the task of the new incumbent to further drive this growth and enable the organization to reach the ambitious growth targets. The next GM is required to be a highly engaged team player with strong entrepreneurial and strategic skills who can impact positively on the growth and success of the company. In order to continue to build an organization under expected rapid turnover growth and extended product portfolio the ideal candidate must be able to navigate in a complex internal structure/environment and commit to the targets and deliver despite unforeseen events. The GM shows a proven ability to build, lead and motivate high performance management teams. Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead the country with confidence, passion and high energy.
  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of currently 55 employees
  • Develop and implement a business plan for the country through strong cross-functional working
  • Hire, organize and align resources to deliver the plan
  • Establish growth and profit expectations. Drive the growth of the country business by establishing sales goals for existing products and successfully launch new indications and products
  • Recognize market opportunities for both new and current products, act accordingly and take appropriate risks when opportunities arise
  • Negotiate access, pricing and reimbursement within the parameters set centrally to achieve the required sales performance in the local market
  • Local P&L accountability for the market. Optimize the P&L to deliver targeted revenue and profit contribution
  • Oversee the GDP Quality System and yearly quality management review of GDP activities.  Oversight of the responsible leader for GDP activities in country
  • Accountable for Legal and Compliance within their country, collaborating with the responsible central functional teams
  • Implement company values and culture. Create effective internal communication and foster teamwork

Requirements:

  • University degree (Bachelor/Master) in a business-related discipline
  • A seasoned and well-rounded candidate with several years of experience in a variety of sales, marketing, market access or business development roles. General management experience is preferable
  • Ideally combined track record in big pharmaceutical corporations as well as smaller and more entrepreneurial environments
  • Experience in pharma specialty products is required, preferably in the area of neuroscience, hematology and oncology
  • Successful cross functional leadership and management experi-ence with direct responsibility for a senior management team, and able to work in a matrix environment. 
  • Demonstrated track record of building and developing teams and individuals
  • Extensive experience in delivering top line growth and bottom-line performance
  • Tangible experience and a track record of delivering Market Access and launch strategies and programs 
  • Demonstrated success in commercial planning, launching products and life cycle management is important
  • Knows the science, clinical practices, market dynamics, competi-tive products, competitive selling strategies, etc. 
  • German on native speaker level and fluency in English
