Our client is an international private school based in Germany for students between the ages of 4 and 18.
As part of a new vacancy, we are looking for a
Director (m/f/d) of Strategic Finance
Your responsibilities:
The role of the Director of Strategic Finance (DSF) is to provide strategic support and guidance to the school's leadership team and to the Board of Directors to secure the school's financial future and to leverage the school's financial resources for the benefit of students, employees and the community.
The responsibilities of the DSF will range from process analysis and optimisation to strategic development of new initiatives to enhance the school's financial standing.
The DSF reports to the Head of School.
Specifically, the DSF will have three major domains of activity:
- Develop strategies to improve the school's business model and financial viability and advise the Head of School and Board of Directors.
- Analyse and improve business processes at the school
- Further develop the finance function of the school
Professional Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in strategic financial planning and/or leadership (e.g., in consulting).
- Formal academic training in finance, business, economics or a related field.
- Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to develop and analyze complex financial models and develop insights that drive decision-making.
- Advanced project management skills, including project planning and stakeholder management.
- Strong hands-on mentality and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering results.
- Excellent communication skills in English and German with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in the non-profit sector would be an added benefit.
